2025 General Conference Nominations

“For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.” 1 Cor. 12:13

The Global Methodist Church will hold our next General Conference in 2026 in Africa! Every Annual Conference will send at least one lay and one clergy delegate to represent them as we continue to conference together to determine the shape of Global Methodism moving forward. The GMC of Virginia will elect our delegates on the first day of our Annual Conference, and we need YOUR input.

Virginia is currently eligible for one clergy and one lay delegates, but with a focus on church planting and growth, we anticipate a possibility of needing two of each. To have an effective election at Conference, we need nominees to choose from. As you consider yourself or others for nomination to this vital role, we ask you to consider the following:

  1. Nominees need to be willing to travel to a location in central Africa and will need to assist in raising/providing funds to cover their costs.
  2. Nominees need to be filled with the Holy Spirit and prayerfully consider the God- given vision of the Global Methodist Church as a whole and the Virginia Conference in particular.
  3. Nominees should have a passion for holy conferencing and attending to the business of the Church on behalf of the whole body here in Virginia.
  4. Lay nominees can be nominated by any lay member of the GMC of Virginia.
  5. Clergy nominees can be nominated by any clergy member of the GMC of Virginia.

We ask that you pray earnestly for the Lord to reveal those He desires to be considered for this ministry, including nominating yourself if He so leads, and use the buttons below to nominate those He brings to mind.
